During a recent photog assignment, covering the first day of school, I captured this interesting image. The result of many artists and many projects… photography capturing the tools of an artist.
I spent the weekend visiting NYC. We visited several galleries that have extensive abstract collections both photographic and art. With that inspiration, I captured this “found abstract”… nothing more than an old poster panel that has seen some use, but reflects the artistic neighborhood. Abstract on it’s own, without intent. Is it art?
Enjoyed some special time chasing Miss M in our recent photo session in her new dance costume and Easter dress. Used a special drape background that she could hide behind and peek through. They key was to always have the camera ready for that special” expression.
As a demonstration of North Sky Photo capability, I set up and did a live demonstration at the Housatonic Business Alliance Network meeting this past week. I was able to recruit a very nice young man as my subject, his name is Major. Location was the New Milford Train station and I had a whopping ten minutes for the demo. Got some great close-ups and full length portraits in a “Major” way.

A first time program to provide action photographs of youth hockey players and print on demand in the lobby of the rink. Jane Haslam and I coordinated the process, as I shot and she hosted the desk. Previews were available on a larger monitor and we we were able to print 5 x7 color images for the parents the same day of the tournament and this was coordinated with on-line print sales, too.
During a recent family outing, I was able to stop some great skiing action at Butternut Mountain Slopes. Rumsey Hall was competing against Indian Mountain’s team. Perfect late day lighting, with no direct sun.
